Alfred backup is a private, single-user tool. Tim's personal home server ("Alfred") uses rclone to copy its own backup files into Tim's own Google Drive, so a copy survives if the server fails.
It is used by one person, Tim, for his own data. It is not a public service, there are no customer accounts, and this is not a sign-in page. The Google permission it asks for is used only so rclone can write and read those backup files in Tim's Drive.
